Starting your own business can be a quite a stressful task. But you can save loads of time by following simple, common sense steps recommended by the experts. Some of these are FREE. Think in terms of what you like to do most. The wisdom of one of the greatest all time inventors, Edison would have it: “I never did a day's work in my life. It was all fun.” Next, think of the people you would like to help and deal with. Or better yet, who do you like to deal with? The people you like to speak with. What are their interests? They are your interests. What do they need? What do they buy? What would they like to have? When starting your business you must think first and foremost about the person that will be buying your products and services. This is what the experts refer to as being Customer Oriented. I was Financial Director for the leading private security firm in Cancun, Mexico, when I started my own business. It all began with a passionate desire to learn all I could about the emerging internet markets. I would read site after site, looking for the truth amidst all the sales material flying around the internet marketing field. Listen, to Dr. Evoy's advice on this: "Do not start another Internet Marketing web site!" I started backwards, with an email manager, GetResponse, which by the way I still use today! Signed up for an affiliate program, and started publishing "The Freedom Project", which has had more than 200 consecutive weekly issues. For example: I was living in Ixtapa, right off the Pacific coast of Mexico, where the water is always warm, and you get your choice of large waves for surfing, or nice quiet beaches where the kids can play without a worry in the world, when I found myself with a computer, an office -so I could work away from home, and no idea where to start.
